About Access Quest

Accessibility starts with people.

We are a disabled-led social enterprise working to make accessibility information more useful to the people who need it.

“My why is to make it easy for people with access needs to plan a safe journey somewhere new, while making it easier for councils to improve accessibility.”

Built around lived experience

Access Quest is the trading identity of Smart Access Limited. Our work connects accessibility observations, mapping tools and the people who use public places.

One journey, many perspectives

A route can feel very different to a wheelchair user, a blind or low-vision traveller, an older person or someone pushing a pram. Useful accessibility information helps people make their own decisions.

Community and professional work

Community mapping and professional collection each contribute to understanding a place. Explore our project accounts or discuss a project.

Every journey has a story.

“Before my visit, I used Access Quest Navigation and saw a sign with a number to phone ahead to remove the bollards… Without the Access Quest App, the pathway would not have been usable and I would not have been able to view the lighthouse at all.”

“Having a mothers room is so handy… Knowing where these places are has made trips out with my baby so much easier.”
